Community Beanie Drive Benefiting Holston Home for Children

Calling all knitters and crocheters! Help us spread a little warmth this winter, one handmade beanie at a time!

Thread the Needle Stitchery is collecting handmade knit and crochet beanies for the young people at Holston Home for Children in Greeneville.

Holston Home serves approximately 56 boys and girls, ages 11–22, with an average age of 15.

Our goal is 56 hats for 56 heads!

Donation Guidelines:

• Handmade knit or crochet beanies
• Teen and young adult sizes
• A variety of colors and styles
• Made and stored in a smoke-free and pet-free environment

Donation Deadline: Saturday, December 5, 2026

KiraLyn’s booking spans November 9–30, including Fall Fest and the holiday season. The in-shop holiday showing begins Wednesday, November 18, after our November 11–17 closure.

Visit during regular shop hours, with extended hours of 10 am–6 pm for Shop Small Greene on Saturday, November 28.

We're “berry” excited to host you for another stitching event at the charming General Morgan Inn, nestled in the heart of downtown Greeneville! Prepare for three fabulous days of stitching shenanigans with your best pals. Kick things off with a berry sweet treat on the first night, enjoy lunch on Friday and Saturday, and sip on beverages all day long. Expect door prizes, games galore, and chances to pick up extra door prize tickets. Plus, we're hosting charity raffles and an auction to support the Isaiah 117 House. Back by popular demand, a massage therapist will be on hand for at least two days to knead away your worries!

Join us for the Stitching in the Smokies: Spring Fling, from Thursday, May 13 through Saturday, May 15, 2027.

Registration is open! Complete the form below to request your place. Registration is $375 per attendee, plus applicable tax. Once your invoice is sent, payment is due within 5 calendar days to confirm your seat. If the retreat fills, applicants will be placed on the waitlist and contacted when a spot becomes available.

Oh, and no more rush-hour seat scrambles! Reserved seating will make checking in a breeze!
